Irish Patent’s Office
The Irish Patent’s Office provides detailed information on patents, trademarks, designs, copyright and payment and has published practical information on patents.
The Irish Patents Office also offer an IP clinic service on a one to one basis. This is open to any member of the public, inventors, entrepreneurs and business people and is an opportunity to ask questions and discuss IP applications you plan to make or have already made to the Patents Office. Group workshops are run regularly in venues around the country.
European Union
The European Patent Office manages the ESPacenet website which allows patents to be searched internationally. Many complete specifications are available although coverage varies by country.
A useful European Union database is TMView . This allows you to search for trademarks registered in every EU country and some countries outside the EU.
Enterprise Europe Network (EEN)
The Enterprise Europe Network is steered by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Enterprise and Industry. Its remit is to help businesses make international connections, compete and thrive internationally. The EEN operates an intellectual property (IP) service, helping clients to protect and exploit their IP.
