Europe Badges Awarded in Clones EDIC

Clones EDIC were delighted to welcome the Clones Silver Birch Brownies to the centre to receive their Europe Badges on Thursday 9th of January. The badges were presented by Minister Heather Humphreys who spoke to the girls about the role of women in politics and in the European Parliament. The Europe Badges were developed by the Irish Girl Guides in partnership with European Movement Ireland to help the Brownies and Girl Guides to gain an understanding of the European Union and how it affects the lives of Irish citizens. The girls took part in interactive quizzes and each received a goodie bag packed with information about the EU.  Well done to you all.
